Lucid Dream Prompting Process

Lucid dream prompt: Show me the truth of dark matter?
Lucid dream prompt: Show me the painting I did before sleeping, good, now collaborate with it
Lucid dream prompt: Salubriously
Davis writes:
I asked my dream for me to experience greatest bliss, It felt as if my body floated high in overwhelming humming extatic pleasure. Then I asked to experience deepest sorrow, it felt as if my body sunk beneath the pits of the earth, yet still with immense fuzzy glowing pleasure. Then it transitioned into another scene, I was on a horse, looking back to see a train and a shadowed figure coming towards me, I remembered a theraputic technique and called back to them “I’ll meet you with curiosity and compassion”. I awoke and painted the scene. A few months later, I was experiencing a deep sorrow in my waking life. An image of a figure with an elongated kneck and dangling body flashed to my minds eye. I painted the figure, alltogether completing the previous painting. This brought me joy.

A direct surrealist mode
Here is a select demonstration of Davis’s ongoing engagement with “lucid dream prompting”. This process happens while sleeping, it is prompting and controlling aspects of the dream whilst dreaming and aware that you are inside of a dream. Davis prompts their dreams with directions of pleasure, health, artistic collaboration, enigma and metaphysical enquiry. This method mirrors prompting artificial intelligence yet is deeply physically human.

Davis is interested in using this process to collaborate with more scientists, creatives and lucid dreamers.
